Susan Bowman

Susan Bowman

The Pool Ministries was founded by Susan Bowman for the purpose of exploring and testing existing healing and deliverance strategies. Her goal was, and continues to be, the development of ministry procedures that actually work.

Susan is an Elijah House trained prayer minister. She has also studied under Dr. Tom Hawkins (Restoration in Christ Ministries), Dr. Jim Wilder (Shepherd’s House), Dr. Karl Lehman (Immanuel Approach), Dr. Charles Kraft (Hearts Set Free), Chris and Jen Coursey (Thrive Today), Dr. Mark Virkler (Communion with God Ministries) as well as others including many leaders within the prophetic and faith communities.

After years of study and practice as a prayer minister and team ministry leader, Susan has woven together many of the healing streams flowing through the body of Christ. From explaining the heart/brain connection to clarifying how spiritual discernment works, she is a specialist at taking complicated ideas and making them understandable as well as doable.

Susan began her Christian service by developing and pastoring a successful children’s ministry. She followed this by establishing and pastoring a dynamic youth ministry; establishing a drama ministry and heading up a powerful outreach ministry into her community. Before leaving service within the traditional church to pursue her training as a prayer minister and to experience the life of a pastor, she taught a wide range of subjects to Christian adults. Alongside her husband Sam, Susan pastored a house church for more than ten years.

Today, Susan dedicates her time to writing and teaching. Her first goal is to equip the body of Christ with understanding how the human heart breaks and how to make the heart healthy again. Her second goal is to bring understanding to spiritual realities, so that believers can fight the good fight of faith with power AND wisdom.

Sam Bowman

Sam Bowman

Shortly after returning to the USA from a tour of duty in Vietnam, Sam accepted Christ and was filled with the Holy Spirit. At that time the Jesus Movement was sweeping up the young people. Churches, filled with former hippies, were springing into existence. Sam began his journey with the Lord in just such a church, Jesus People Church, which was located in Minneapolis.

After serving in about every way within the walls of the traditional church and outside those walls – as pastor, youth and children’s pastor, altar minister, outreach minister and prison minister – he now devotes his energy to what he loves most: studying the scriptures and teaching the Word of God in small group settings that allow for questions and discussion.
