On the Subject of Angels

Part One of The Angel Series

I have written a series of articles about my personal experiences with angels, starting from the time that God brought them to my attention. Because there are questions about how to treat angels, mostly stemming from Jude 1:8 and 1 Peter 2:10, I am going to explain the difference between engaging with your holy angels in a proper and respectful manner verses mocking, cursing, and insulting angelic majesties, either holy or fallen. I want to address this before I send you the articles about my experiences so that there are no misunderstandings.

God has assigned angels to serve you. Hebrews 1:14 describes these angels as ministering spirits sent to serve those who are inheriting salvation. If you examine the Greek, you will see that these angels are sent forth by God to serve at the command of those whom they are serving. They are sent forth by God, but they serve at our command. I realize that some believers have been taught to be so humble that they have become small and fearful. Let’s not be like that. We are heirs of salvation. Honored sons and daughters of God’s house. God has provided us with servants to serve us and soldiers to protect us.

Now, what does that mean in a practical sense? It means that just like natural servants and soldiers, these kinds of angels take orders. They do not take initiative. You are tasked with the responsibility of telling them what you need and want done. If they are able to help you, they will help you. If they are not able to help because you have asked them to do something they cannot do or is outside of God’s will, then they will not help you.

The articles that will follow over the next few weeks outline my introduction to this understanding, my growth in it, my triumphs, and my missteps. The YouTube series called Demons Are Not The Boss Of You includes stories about my experiences with angels as protectors and warriors working on my behalf.

Learning to employ and deploy the angels God has sent to you requires practice. You will learn as you practice. Just keep in mind that these kinds of angels desire to serve you. Your job is to tell them what you want them to do.

Keep an eye out for The Angel Series.

God bless you,

Susan
