I had a dream some years ago. I was at a very high-class California restaurant with a group of influential people. The people were picking butterfly cocoons from the walls and eating them. I was urged to eat them too because they were a delicacy. I refused but was told to just go ahead and eat because butterfly cocoons are abundant.
I awoke understanding that the unformed butterflies represented our children who are being devoured.
The recent martyrdom of Charlie Kirk, killed before thousands of college students, and the celebration of his murder by some, reveals the depth of humanity’s brokenness and depravity. The blatant destruction of this innocent man was on my mind when the Lord reminded me of the butterfly dream and asked me to approach Him on behalf of the children.
My ministry team agreed that a court of heaven appeal was in order. A court of heaven appeal is structured intercessory prayer seeking God’s justice and intervention. You can learn more about it by researching online.
On the morning of the appeal the Lord woke me with these words. “Go deep. Dig for the root.”
Roots are composed of strongly held beliefs that motivate behavior. God wanted us to seek Him for the beliefs that make the destruction of our children acceptable. We discovered that the root was composed of several major beliefs hidden within the heart of humanity. These beliefs make it feel reasonable to destroy, sacrifice, mistreat, resource, and devour children.
The following beliefs resulted as humanity responded to three historical traumatic events. The first event was our disloyalty to God in Eden which resulted in our expulsion. The second was our pursuit of wickedness which eventually resulted in the need for a flood in order to recreate the world and give us a fresh start. The third was our continuing disloyalty to God as displayed by the Tower of Babel.
Shared Heart Beliefs
- God has thrown us away because we are worthless. (Eden)
- We have lost our place and we have no future. Life is meaningless. What is the point of living? Death is an easy solution to the meaninglessness of life. (Eden, the Flood, the Tower of Babel)
- God has abandoned us. He wants to destroy us. He is not safe. He is not good. We might as well rebel against his laws and do what we want. (The Flood, the Tower of Babel)
Since we believed that God hated us, we wanted help hiding from Him. We turned to fallen high-level spiritual beings (the gods and goddesses of the nations) for protection. To appease them and in exchange for protection from the Most-High God, we sacrificed our children to them.
Woven throughout these fallen heart beliefs is an element of revenge because we believed that God hurt us.
Each of these deeply rooted heart beliefs creates disconnection. We are disconnected from ourselves, each other, and from God. Heinous acts become possible because we believe deeply within that humanity is worthless; life is meaningless; and God is our enemy.
As a team, we repented for ourselves and our generational bloodline for any agreement with these heart beliefs. We also repented for humanity, standing as representatives. We asked for mercy and we were granted mercy. We asked that the children be rescued and must wait to see the fruit of our petition.
I encourage everyone reading this to repent for yourself and for your generational bloodline. Please ask the Lord for mercy. Ask Him to rescue the children.
Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Luke 18:16
I bless you in Jesus’ name
