How to Recognize When You Are Under a Personal Spiritual Attack
These attacks feel different from internal warfare. There is a foreign flavor to them.
Common Spiritual Symptoms:
- Intrusive thoughts tied to a specific person or memory
- Tormenting mental loops you can’t silence
- Sudden confusion, fear, or inner turbulence
- An unusual obsession with someone who is angry with you
- A sense that “something is picking at you” spiritually
These are external attacks—powered by someone’s sin, weaponized through unseen spirits.

Most believers respond by going “small” to keep the peace. But appeasing a jealous spirit doesn’t work.
Demons are predators. If you shrink, they grow.

Step 1: Recognize the Source
Ask the Lord:
“Who is the enemy using to empower this attack?”
He may bring a face, a memory, or a name. Do not dismiss it. Clarity is protection.
Step 2: Address the Demons Directly
In Jesus’ Name, speak with authority:
“I call to attention any demon using ___’s hatred, jealousy, or sin to attack me.
You no longer have permission to use their emotions or sin against me.
Only their true humanity is allowed to relate to me.”
This is the moment you cancel the assignment.
Step 3: Deploy Your Angels
Yes, this is biblical. Angels are assigned to enforce Kingdom authority.
“Angels of the Lord, punish every demon using this person’s sin to harm me.
Punish them until they stop.”
Demons only respect authority backed by enforcement.
Step 4: Close Any Open Doors on Your Side
If the accusations echo something inside you, ask:
“Lord, is there any truth in what the enemy is weaponizing?”
If yes—repent, forgive, close that door. If no—stand firm.
Step 5: If the Attack Is Strong, Pray the Father’s Prayer
“Lord, deliver me from evil.”
You’ve taken dominion. Now call on your Defender.
