Demons Are Not the Boss of You – Part 3 | The Pool Ministries
Many believers are deeply committed to following Christ, yet quietly struggle with confusion, fear, sudden anxiety, or emotional heaviness that seems to appear out of nowhere. In Part 3 of “Demons Are Not the Boss of You,” Susan Bowman teaches a vital principle: the demonic realm operates freely wherever boundaries are not set.

Why Demons Keep Attacking: What We Allow, They Exploit
Over decades of ministry, Susan has seen one truth proven repeatedly:
Demons will do whatever we allow.
If you subconsciously believe you deserve punishment…
If you expect backlash when you speak truth…
If you agree with hopelessness, fear, or shame…
The enemy will exploit those beliefs.
That’s why we begin Part 3 by asking God to reveal any silent agreements we’ve made:
“Lord, show me where I have allowed access to the enemy. Shine Your light and expose the work of darkness.”
Understanding Non-Specific Demonic Attacks
Not every attack is personal. Many are atmospheric—loosed into society through sin, rage, violence, or occult celebrations. These assaults show up as:
- Sudden fear or dread with no clear cause
- Irritability or confusion “out of the blue”
- A sense of heaviness that doesn’t belong to you
This is discernment. Fear is felt because spirits of fear are near. Recognizing this keeps us from internalizing something that is not ours.
❗ If you must search for a reason to justify how you’re feeling—it’s likely discernment, not emotion.
Setting Spiritual Boundaries: Your First Line of Defense
Demons are spiritual criminals—and criminals must be confronted.
Here is Susan’s boundary-setting template, rooted in dominion through Christ:
Step 1 – Declare Your Boundary
“Demonic world, I am off-limits. All that touches my life is off-limits.
You will not harm or influence anything concerning me.
I forbid it in the name of Jesus Christ.”
Step 2 – Deploy Angels
“Angels of the Lord, enforce this boundary.
Punish any spirit that crosses it until it respects this line.
Make it so, in Jesus’ name.”
Boundaries must be reinforced, because demons seek loopholes. They will attempt to re-enter through objects, people, thoughts, or media.
Guarding Your Home: Objects, Media & Portals
Demons ride in on what we invite—even unknowingly. Susan shares examples of spiritual defilement attached to used books, media, or sentimental items.
Spiritual House-Cleaning Prayer:
“Angels, remove all emotions, defilement, and evil attached to any object in this home.
Cleanse all portals—devices, books, media—and guard them.
Nothing defiling is allowed here.”
When People Bring Spiritual Hitchhikers
Angels do not act unless instructed. If someone enters your home carrying demonic oppression, the demons assume they were invited too.
Before guests arrive, pray:
“Any demon attached to those entering, you are not allowed past this boundary.”
“Angels, keep these spirits out. Only the true humanity of this person may enter.”
Walking Unmolested in Public Places
You carry authority wherever you go. Command the atmosphere.
“I am a blood-bought child of the Most High God.
Every evil presence here—stand aside. You may not interact with me.”
Yes, they obey. Not because of you, but because of Jesus’ name spoken with conviction.
Emotional Mudslinging: When Feelings Aren’t Yours
In gatherings, Susan has seen spirits scooping emotions from one person and slinging them onto another, creating confusion and division.
Counter It Immediately
1️⃣ “In the name of Jesus, you are not allowed to sling emotions on me. I forbid it.”
2️⃣ “Angels, enforce this boundary.”
3️⃣ “Lord, remove all emotions that are not mine.”
Shutting Down Demonic Surveillance
The enemy gathers memories, prayers, and life events to launch targeted attacks. You must revoke access.
Memory and Circumstance Prayer
“In Jesus’ name, my circumstances and memories are off-limits.
Angels, erase any record stored by the enemy.
Lord, I give You my memories—let us remember together.”
You Have Dominion—Use It
This series is not about fascination with demons. It’s about freedom.
- You are not helpless.
- You are not prey.
- Through Christ, you carry authority.

Final Prayer
Lord, teach us to walk fearlessly in both the natural and spiritual realm.
Strengthen every believer who watches this series.
Fill them with courage, wisdom, and Your presence.
